Gilad, his regular quartet (The Orient House Ensemble) and The Sigamos String Quartet performed interpretations of Charlie Parker’s legendary strings recordings, as well as new works. Highly enjoyable!

Chris Wood filled the support slot before returning after the interval with the rest of The Imagined Village. Folk songs with a modern touch (sitar, theramin & dhol) as well as modern songs with a folk touch (Martin Carthy finishing the encore with a fine Wolverhampton tune "So you think I've got an evil mind/well I'll tell you honey...)
